The Joy of
Temping In the morning, Jenn drops off her youngest son at
school, then drives to her latest assignment at a law firm. Several years ago, Jenn stopped
working to stay at home with the kids. But now the kids are in school and her family could use some additional
income. Jenn needed a career that paid well yet still gave her the
flexibility her children needed. She
found that working as a Kennison Staffing temporary professional allows her to make good money and still take
the time to see her son's soccer games. Jenn and her family are thrilled with her new career as a temp.
Anne is taking advantage of her opportunities at Kennison Staffing to get out of the
"experience" trap. After
graduation, she couldn't find a job, because she didn't have enough "experience." But if she couldn't get a break, how was she ever going to get
experience? Then Anne began
temping for Kennison Staffing. Almost immediately, Anne
started getting the experience
she needed in a wide variety of jobs. Each new assignment teaches her new skills that will make her a very desirable job candidate. And the contacts she has been able to
make during her temp assignments have
already yielded several job offers. When she decides to look for a full-time job again, Anne knows that she will be able to
beat out candidates with many
more years of "experience".
George spent twenty-five years working in the same department of a large corporation. Unfortunately, when the economy
soured, the company had to let him go. Despite his experience, George struggled finding a new job. When money starting getting tight, he
came to Kennison Staffing to try his luck. At first he was terrified at the prospect of starting new assignments, but he
quickly learned that his co-workers at each assignment were friendly and appreciated his years of expertise. Plus, when he worked out the numbers, George
was thrilled to discover that he
was making more money per hour as a temp than he did at his "permanent" job. Now he's not sure if he ever wants
to leave temping!
